Summer Season of "Up High"
Project Launches June 1

May 26, 2026
On June 1, Moscow will kick off the largest summer season yet of the citywide project "My Sporting District." Held as part of the "Summer in Moscow" festival, the initiative offers residents and visitors free outdoor workouts at more than 140 locations — including courtyards, parks, Moscow’s iconic VDNKh exhibition park, the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, and the rooftops of the "Meeting Place" (Mesto Vstrechi) neighborhood centers.
This summer, "My Sporting District" will offer classes in 13 sports, including fitness (18+), football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton (ages 10+ and adults, depending on the day), roller sports (18+), running (18+), and wushu (6+).

Special attention this season goes to the "Up High" rooftop project. Dance fitness, yoga, stretching, and Zumba classes will take place on 15 rooftops of the "Meeting Place" neighborhood centers. Three new rooftop venues have been added this year: "Meeting Place Planeta" in Ochakovo-Matveyevskoye, "Meeting Place Vityaz" in Konkovo, and "Meeting Place Orion" in Losinoostrovsky district. The rooftop classes are open to anyone aged 16 and up.

Expanding access to free training sessions is a key goal of Moscow’s sports development strategy through 2030.
